How I Decide And Execute What To Do!

Lately, I’ve been dealing with some challenging architecture design tasks, placing me in a spot where I have to make design decisions. While struggling the composition of colours and objects from Photoshop, I’ve starting to dig inside my process and trying to understand how I think to design while I work. And this process makes me realise what drives my decisions and thinking process. Here, I would like to share my experience which allows me to execute quickly on my decisions and my work.

First of all, I believe that people have to move fast. Intuitively, I am more concerned about the speed than being right in the first try. I believe that the more we try, fail and revise, the more we get better at it than spending all of our time debating, overthinking and never actually doing anything about it.

Besides that, the lack of fear of failing also allowed me to make decisions quick because I know most people don’t make decision just because they are scared to lose. And for sure I know that if we never make a decision, the potential opportunity could be a total lost in the end.

Certainly, this is my issue while I’m working as an intern. And when I have to make design decisions, it’s always better to decide, test and then react with a quick change than overwhelming with options to move forward. But heres the moral of the story: the more we do, the more we will learn and the more ease with making decisions. So I certainly trust that the more we execute and we will come out on top.
